CISRI Sponsoring Countries, may be regrouped in two categories:
a) Members, which have signed or adhered the International Agreement establishing the CISRI;
b) Supporting Countries which have formally expressed through their Governments an institutional support to the CISRI Organization.

Besides the Member and the Supporting Countries, the CISRI has granted Associated (observer) status to more that 120 Countries, at Ministry Level, and maintains technical contacts by transmission of informative support to the respective Ministries in charge of key sectors development or by its public technical Statements during the various substantial UN Conferences and Bodies
